Young Composers Awards 2012 - Results! :d
^^sore drop-out. I like Sojar Voglar's proposal. I don't know how does a work get into the "Major Works" file, but if there are different criteria, we could as well just have another file for "YC Members' Choices".

Young Composers Awards 2012 - Results! :d
^^ Sore loser. Congratulations to the winners, all of which I deem as deserving their awards. BTW, next year there should be a category for "most embittered member".

(New) Official Voting Thread For Yc Awards 2012
A couple more nitpicks... Sojar Voglar still appears twice in the "Old Timers" category. While listening to the nominated pieces (which is why I haven't voted yet), I noticed that JohnBucket's Sonata in E minor was uploaded in August 2011. Is it still eligible for this year's awards? Please clarify. Thanks.

Best Composers By Composition Type
From what I've seen, that might be asking too much from some members. Worst thing - they don't even manage to be funny.

Official Nominations! Yc Awards 2012
Since I received no answer, I decided to send nominations as well. You're free to throw them away at once. Bear in mind that, since I am not really acquainted with almost anyone on this site, I left many of the member categories without nominee.

Official Nominations! Yc Awards 2012
Dear Mr. God (the Panda one, not the other), I joined YC just last August, and I seldomly take part on thread discussions, but have listened to a whole lot of pieces (even commenting on a few of them). Am I allowed to nominate works anyways? Thanks!

Question For Percussion Mallet Instrument Players
My guess is that it might be annoying to play for too long - but it's possible that a different percussionist could find no problem about it.

How To Write An Infinite Opus
I don't really get what all of this is really about. But I'd rather write a piece that has any chance of getting performed at least once. ...

And your favorite composer is...
The three Ms... Mozart Mahler Messiaen I could add a fourth M - Mendelssohn. I'm also fond of some Tchaikovsky and most of the killer Bs (Bach, Beethoven, Berlioz, Brahms, Bruckner, Bartok, Britten - and the Beatles).
