Hey guys,

My name is Lwazi Nkiwane and I'm a lyricist. I'm 24 years old and I've been writing songs for 8 years.

At the moment I'm currently putting out a CD of my song material and several others.

I live in reading in berkshire and I'm open to ideas and submissions.

I'm looking forward to hear from you.

Welcome, .... there is work to do here for you .... I may ask you to write a lyric for me, but first I'll read the guidelines in the lyric section, because I think you can not just post "I want a lyric for this" .... or "I want the some music for this" ..... I'll keep you in mind...

But, maybe in my own mind and attitude. I've been a musician for most of my life. And, from time to time attempt to compose. Aside from family and friends, music has always been my life.

I hope to spend a little time here learning (you're never too old) and making new friends.

Was just looking to get information about unusual time signatures (e.g. 4/8). One of the links came to this site Will have much to say later. San Clemente public library closing in just a few minutes. (Oh, the "Starbucks Composer in Residence" is just meant to be humorous. I actually do a lot of composing there, but it's not like they fund me. Would be nice though! )

I just joined this group and want to say hello to all. I'm a young composer (actually 62 years young). I've been writing for years and just started writing some symphonic pieces. I have my own recording studio and have been writing songs and jingles since the 1970's. I use Sonar and a lot of hardware synths to produce the music and sing all of the male parts and always look for female singers to do the female parts.

I went to PA (the High School of Performing Arts from the movie Fame). I was in the US Army band for 3 years after graduating from PA. I met my wife there a trumpet player. I've been in the computer industry for too many years but now am totally disabled and have more time for music.

My wife and I have been out of symphonic music for 40 years. Just recently I bought a clarinet and my wife bought a trumpet and we're playing duets together and go to a symphonic band rehearsal once a week. We met a very good flute player and now I'm using Sibelius to take duets and make them trios or taking trio's ie Beethoven op87 and transcribing them for Trumpet, Clarinet and Flute.

I'm also writing my own trio's for our little group and having a lot of fun. I found this group looking for people using Sibelius. I find it a pretty good program.

For those interested in hearing my music you can go to jingledoctor.com recorddemo.com and creativerecords.com. These are older compositions.

Any, I'm happy I found this group.

My name is Marius Chamberlin (surprise!) and I've been playing the violin for a little more than six years right now, although I only recently decided to try for a career in music. I'm going to be taking a music theory class this year at my high school (looking forward to it greatly) and I've written a few short works, nothing to long or serious, just me mostly fooling around. My favorite composers are Hans Zimmer, John Williams, and absolutely Martin O'Donnell, Lord of E Dorian.

That's about it!:D Oh, and I'm 16. Okay, NOW that's it.

Welcome. I like John Williams too...I like Danny Elfman more though. XD
