I am now living in Toronto...but am far from a Torontonian. ;) You mentioned grad studies: where are you thinking of heading? I've just started the M.Mus (Jazz Studies) at UofT, so if you need any more info on the grad program here, lemme know. :whistling:

U of T is the only school I haven't heard from yet in regards to grad studies. I've been rejected by every other school I applied to, so I'm not too confident about my application there...

I'm an Australian jazz guitarist currently living and playing in Germany. I've been trying to write fugues for ages with varying degrees of success. This looks like a good place for feedback and advice. I write lots of modern jazz stuff too :)

I'm hardly a young composer, but I'm younger than Bach, Beethoven and even Hindemith.

I just joined yesterday. My name's Evan and I'm 19, currently majoring in trumpet performance as a freshman, but planning to switch to music composition my junior year (they tell me I need to have four semesters of music theory before I do that).

I'm a bit green around the gills; only been composing for a few years (since about junior or senior year of high school) but absolutely love it (especially orchestra and band). I am planning on getting a doctorate in composition and making a career out of it!

I am Dule, 24 year old from Belgrade (Serbia). I play piano (self-taught) for many years. I started to compose at age of 15 in Finale. Now i started to learn harmony, musical form, contretemps, orchestration...to rework my old compositions and for future works.
