Hi everyone!! I'm Christie from Mauritius (some tiny sunny island in the Indian Ocean!!!!!). I'm 19 and have been composing since childhood. I have been influenced by different styles although having received a Classical music education has had a considerable impact on my music. I play the Piano:)

This site is pretty cool, I guess I'll put some of my compositions online (well I'm a bit of a perfectionist so it's taking me a loooooot of courage to do that:toothygrin:)

Anyway, apart from that, I'm a French native speaker, I love cooking, reading (Tolkien, Pullman other fantasy, science magazines), love social sciences and love brownies and waffles................:P

Welcome. Actually, I hear nothing other than good stuff about Mauritius, and how it's probably the only truly good country in Africa to live in. Port Louis looks pretty either way.

Hello. My name is Bekah and I just joined. I am currently in high school. I play 10 instruments. I am in band, choir, and orchestra. My main instrument is viola. Before you start with the jokes, I have most likely heard them. I am also in marching band and was the drum major this past year.

I am going to be attending Butler University this upcoming fall. I am going into Music Education.

I have been singing since I was three and have always found music to be interesting to me on so many levels. When I find a piece of music that just makes me feel a certain way, I am hooked forever.

Why do you compose?

Hi, my name is Amanda. I'm 15 and I LOVE music. I've been drumming since I was nine, and learned 4 other instruments since then. I have also started composing this year and it's really coming along. Right now I'm composing a symphony for a brass quartet and in the second third and fourth movements an orchestra. Always looking for people to play my pieces. Email me! Hello, my name is Kyle Swartz and I'm a junior at York High School in Yorktown, Virginia. I play french horn and mellophone. I'm currently playing trumpet for my school's jazz band also. I am marching with Carolina Crown this summer and plan to until I ageout. Hey! My name is Eric Loux, and I'm from Lawrence, Kansas. I'm going to be a sophomore at Baker University next semester, majoring in music ed, but I like composition a lot more. I play cello and piano, cello being my primary instrument, as I only took piano lessons for a year and a half in sixth and seventh grade.

I like to compose for specific people, and I use personalities as inspiration.

Hi, I'm Anthony. In 10th grade. I really want to go into Christian rock, but I'm having a hard time. I can get some lyrics and a melody, but I can never compose the accompaniment to go along with it.
