March 15, 201016 yr The first orchestral piece I've composed. It sounds a lot like some sort of film music...I have a score, but not on this computer... I shall post it later! His Reward
March 15, 201016 yr nice piece. love the modal feel of it, especially in the opening. The mid-section is too film-like for my taste ;) I am looking forward to the score
March 18, 201016 yr Hahaha, very enjoyable! I like the modal shift around :52. It does sound like film music, but there's nothing wrong with that. Great energetic ending too.
April 7, 201016 yr I like this. I used to play the Sim City games a lot when I was younger, and this sounds like it could have gone in one of the soundtracks. I like the energy in the piece throughout the piece, but the intro and ending are my favorite parts. I also like the multimeter feel.
April 12, 201016 yr I really enjoyed this piece. It is very playful and fun. Your great use of textures and rhythms kept me interested throughout the entirety of the piece. Nice job!
April 13, 201016 yr I thought this was an excellent piece. I was intrigued on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd listens. Very nicely done!
August 15, 201016 yr I'm resurrecting this thread. Love it! My favorite modes exploited here. Awesome throughout, and the diminution in the end and the door slam on all the activity really nailed it. Seemed a bit of a sudden start at the top, tho. -Peter
December 11, 201015 yr This is very good, is the first time I see the percussions used as I like them, I have insisted in other threads that percussion can add a lot of colorful aspect to a work, congrats. BTW; what is Slapstick ? the Whip ? Everything's very fine in here, I just want to tell you, I really really wanted to hear the last D :P
December 15, 201015 yr I have said this was nice allready, but I'm going top repeat that :) Love the meter changes, and the modalities. two questions. There is a section (starting at page 10) where the woodwinds have eight notes for a rather long time. Is this playable, or is maybe some breathing space required? I don't know... I think you have to hide some dinamics. Like in ms11 1st violin and viola, they have a ff on a rest. This occures quite often. I think this it take control of finales HP? It is how I would do that, but it's the only issue I have with the otherwise neat score.
December 15, 201015 yr I love the percussion in this, and the theme itself is really catchy :D Very nice work on this, although I don't have a lot to actually vocalize :\ Sorry about that.
