finally in love

Featured Replies

hey all , i made this piece for a love scene after an epic battle , ( just imagine them having their first kiss and the camera rotates around them, with the green mountains and rivers in the background , that pure love feeling ) that what was on my mind :) . hope you like it

finally in love

nice song- but the atmosphere I feel is more of a victorious march after an epic battle.

Even with that in mind, a love scene usually is light, especially in an environment that of mountains and rivers like you mentioned. This one sounds too much like the surrender of cornwallis. You didn't achieve the pure feeling, it was just TOO intense.

Hehe, ehm... if this is a love scene... I really want to hear your war-battle music... it must be the most hard-core piece of music evar! XD Did the main character decapitate his lover after the kiss? :P Just kidding, really nice piece of music, but I'm afraid that it doesn't have much connection to love feeling... maybe to feelings of love to carnage and warfare :D

thanks for the comment phantomoftheopera , what u said about the lover being decapitated made me laugh alot ! nice one hehe !well , when anyone is in love , he imagines it as the most epic love story maybe that what had happened to me while composing this piece :) .

Haha I didnt feel it either :P Sorry try listening to some love songs and try again to compose a love theme ;)

thanks for the comment phantomoftheopera , what u said about the lover being decapitated made me laugh alot !

Me too! Abd_zibdeh, are you in love?

Cool piece. I can totally feel the end of the epic battle, but it still sounds like they're waging war.

To add in a little more pure love, why not keep what you have, but change the middle of the piece so it's a beautiful love theme. It doesn't have to be long, we just have to break the feeling of IMMINENT DEATH AND DANGER!! Love can be like that, sure, but not the kind where you just won a war and now you're embracing your beloved in the most beautiful setting. Trust me, I've been there :P

Another quick thing, maybe I need to play this through headphones but it sounded like your strings were really loud. When the flute entered on page 2, for example, it's playing one of the main themes yet I couldn't hear it. You have a similar problem with the bassoon lines. They're more accompaniment, but I would still like to hear them.

Cool piece, abd_zibdeh!

thanks for the comment john ,

as for the woodwind section i had a lot of trouble in sequencing them, im new to EWQL , and im not really good at sequencing some instruments , maybe that what caused the flute to be not really clear, and i made the line for thebasoon to just accompany the main theme .

yo abd!

as a piece on its own its really nice, developing, grooving(even though that rock groove is abit funky with the orchestra), i liked that break and then entrance of other instruments. it can be love war of mr & mrs smith maybe..

The J , thanks for your comment , im glad that you liked my piece.

Very cool piece! I love the development, very pro. Kept me interested the whole time. Great Job!

Good stuff man, really enjoyed it. The idea of love in the midst of war did not come to me, but much like phantom said, I was expecting some evil leprechaun to jump out and kill them or at least kick the guy in the nuts. There is always a sense of danger in the song, and when the slower section comes it still carries with it the whole 'calm before the storm' feeling.

I got the image of a captain surveying the battlefield between skirmishes, tending to the wounded. But then again, I have a very strange imagination ;)

Great stuff, keep it up.

I loved this.

Has it been influenced by Zimmer's music?

rickmiller , yes it has , he's one of my favorite composers .

Have you got any of the Pirates scores?

Edited by Marius
No condoning piracy, please.

  • Author

the actual scores , no . but you can get a midi and check out how is it played . or just listen carefully to the score over and over , and you'll learn alot from that . i do that whith a huge headphones , it really helps in focusing on each instrument

I agree with whats been said above this work seems like more of a battle piece - especially with the very lively percussion and string parts here. This has a very nice orchestration to it and the rendering is amazing. I must ask, have you attempted to work with a game maker to get your music included on games?

  • Author

no not really , i have a couple of pieces featured one in a documentary and 1 in a short movie , thats it :) . and hopefully by time ill get more

Well, I wish you luck in your endeavors... having played many a video game, I can easily see your work becoming popular in that idiom.

!!!

<3 The orchestral ! lol. It's been way too long since I listened to something orchestral.

I really like all the samples used in this. They sound pretty realistic to me.

Didn't exactly get the love feeling from this. However, it definitely did feel the "battle theme" incredibly well.

What samples did you use?
