The Storm Lullaby

Featured Replies

Again, a completely over-hauled version of my previous piece, The Rain Lullaby. This starts out with a turbulent intro, and then a transition into the lullaby. Also, there's background ambiance of the waves crashing on the shore. Enjoy =)Update: the ambiance has a higher volume now :P

The Storm Lullaby

Nice work, Zach. I wish I could hear the waves a little louder though - there barely audible! I only heard them really at the end. I must say this is a gorgeous work! Perhaps, this is one of your best. 10/10 and faved!

I think you're right about the waves needing to be louder: I'll fix that in a jiffy.

Thanks so much for commenting and favoriting! :D

I like how "The rain lullaby" became "the storm lullaby"

I like how it opens with storm like chords and then from underneath this comes the gorgeous RH and simple melody.

A few things:

- Bar 21, I'm not sure the RH works. It's not really setting up for anything new and it breaks the nice wave flow you have.

- The piece didn't really become anything or have a solid development.

This is a very nice piece and I would agree with Jason, perhaps the best I've heard from you. :phones:

Thanks for the thoughts John, much appreciated :D

This is a great soothing atmospheric piece... I liked it. Very simple melody and harmony, used to great effect as well. Nice work ;)

Nice atmosphere, but I've heard this so many times before. Even with the waves sounds you could have done something more original and "you." This is a rather staple style of piano music and I think it could benefit from more variety. You did a very nice job within this style though, if your aim was to keep it simple. It doesn't really go anywhere, though. Like I said - variety could improve.

Let me explain: this was, in essence, the second piece I ever made. So, I had no idea at the time I was using a staple style  The piece is very much "me", because I didn't get it from anywhere else, really.

It's like this: I've seen people "come up" with the term "I'm roadkill on the information superhighway!" Or however that saying goes exactly, I can't quite remember. These people thought of the idea themselves, but it's a fairly obvious idea, so many other people had already thought of it anyway.

Thanks for commenting :)

Nothing bad to say! I LOVED IT!

But you need some dynamic changes and build it. I might learn this as it is because I liked it so much. =)

I'd be honored if you'd learn it  :) Thank you! It's a pretty simple piece, it wouldn't take you long at all, I'm sure.
