August 22, 201015 yr interesting writing, Sepharite. I'm not sure how well it works as a Game Over theme, but I can see being used as one. As a friendly Moderator once told me -- and I'm paraphrasing a bit here -- your piece is fun but for the good of humanity, you need to make an ultimate version of this. Something huge and challenging. Something that grabs us by balls. Best o' luck! -John
August 23, 201015 yr Author I was debating between Hero finishing his last leg of the journey or some game over setting. Haha, sorry it didn't live up to your... balls? xD Nah, totally understand. Thanks for comment!
August 23, 201015 yr Hey, Interesting orchestration you've got going on here. I'd earlier call this an ambience track, as background or anything. When you've just died in a game, I would expect a less peacful and joyful piece :P. This sounds more like I just won, haha. However, to asses the piece itself, I think the harp somehow has too much velocity and/or is to close in the mix. You should consider putting it more back with some reverb. Maybe give the piano some more reverb too. Just experiment some with it. Anyway, it is a very relaxing short piece, it makes me curious about your other works, which is a good thing, I guess. Greetz
August 23, 201015 yr I can see where you're coming from (I think). It would work in a quirky Final Fantasy setting. It's definitely a theme for a "weird" kind of game rather than a traditional guns-a-blazin' shoot 'em up, blam, blam, BLAM - I've just taken your head clean off, kind of game.
August 23, 201015 yr I seriously listened to this as if it was in final fantasy, I think it would suit that the best, though it just still isn't game over when I hear this, haha.
