    I know that! :) that's why it's PREcollege. But we are/have learning/learned about voice leading. It's good in traditional music. In fact, it's required!

  • In your 15/16 example, that's pretty straightforward to do if you know what you're doing. You just have to know how to do it. That's just a matter of knowing how to use the program. I know it backward

I divide it any way I like whether it's five groups of three, three groups of five, 14+1, 3+2+2+3+4+1, two groups of 17.5 etc.

The 14+1 might be more like (7+7)+1

The +1 has to be there so it adds up to fifteen semiquavers.

Of course! I often abandon time signatures when writing solo music.

It works, but it's kind of complex to read. I prefer it to time signatures changing all over the place though!

Yeah that's fun too, but I think it only works if it makes sense to play it that way.
