T.v. Themes/film Scores/game Music

There doesn't seem to be a proper place for the sharing of our favorite "popular" musics and what we can learn from them.

My first one is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m76lKsM_jaU, from the Clannad (it's an anime) theme song. :D

Here's mine: Letting go, Super 8

WOW! That's so cool! Thanks for sharing.

Legend of Zelda orchestrated! :D:D

One of my favorite movie moments is John Powell's Forbidden Friendship, a wonderfully moving piece:

I am currently stuck on a Cirque du Soleil binge, the primary soundtrack being that of Totem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YK8MPoOSI1k This show steals stuff from all over the world and makes some pretty heady compilations of styles. Also, the music for their film show, IRIS, by Danny Elfman (!) is great.

Lastly, the least important song for the movie of Chicago, also by Elfman, seemlingly written for no reason, but great:

Some Golden Age music (my favourite era ^^):

<--- Gone with the Wind (Max Steiner)

I now analysing gone with the wind. One can learn MUCH about orchestration and stuff from the score....

This is rather and pretty awesome:

I've watched it so many times. So good

This is my favorite film score of all time:

Ah yes, Howard shore is up there on my list.

How about this?

Ah yes: that is good to.

Beatles 'nuff said

 How does the beatles fit "The beatles" into this topic?

I believe anything that isn't strictly classical music fits into this topic, Aniolel.

As far as popular music, some of the bands I like are The Moody Blues, The Eagles, The Dave Mathews Band, and of course The Beatles. They all have good lyrics, and are pretty musically creative and interesting.

:veryunsure: Wow, I just realized that list made me look pretty old.

We have gone off topic now. From what it was to pop music.

Nevertheless, sine we have changed topics, What do you think of this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYkjzEc6IJc

An interesting choice here. I do not see how it fits the topic though.
