A short piece for string ensemble.

Interesting. I'm not sure how "fun" this would be to play, but it does sound pretty nice. Lush, and I can definitely attach a visual to this; always, always a plus. It doesn't seem to have much of a direction? It ebbs and flows but never peaks or troughs. I would have loved to hear a huge buildup only to have the sound quietly die away back to the FM7 chord. Speaking of seventh chords, I'd recommend experimenting with inversions a little bit. I hear your sevenths on top a lot and having something of a leading tone seventh in the bass and resolving up to a new key? Things like that are always cool.

Very good!

I've heard the piano solo version before. It's different. What they have in common is that nostalgic feeling. I see this theme (in both versions) as a track for a film, for example. You know in the movies the music is presented in different forms. Nice.
