Piece for solo violin in C minor

Hello :)

I've composed a little piece for unaccompanied violin.  Any feedback is appreciated, especially if it's from a violinist or someone with considerable experience in scoring for violin.

Score and mp3 attached.

Thank you!

It sounds nice enough, though I think you can expand your B section a lot more. Some of the double/triple stops are annoying bust most are doable with exception of mm. 55 and 57, at least the way you have them written.

Bowings need work though. I can see what you're going for which is great. But it's unintuitive:

You might look into repeated bowings or slur cutting instead of finding a way to mend a weird bowing situation later in the piece. Passages like m. 23 are unnecessary, since the player can take an up bow on the last eighth note of each figure and it will sound much better, for example. Some measures require you to really think what bow the measure is starting with like the last line.... those should all start down bow.

Cheers!

Thank you very much to both of you! :)

Luis Hernández: I'm happy you like it. Now that you mention it, you're right, but it's how I conceived it, haha. :)

Monarcheon: You're right, bars 55 and 57 are unplayable; someone pointed it out to me yesterday. Regarding bowing, I must admit it's something I'm struggling with and find it a bit difficult to get right. As for the last line, what about this bowing? (attached image). Apologies if it looks stupid or naive; I'm just a beginner, but I'm eager to learn.

Please take a look at my revised version (attached) if you have time. I've also changed the voicings in bars 29-32 to have one "grip" per bar, as suggested by someone (I wonder if it's because of a stylistic reason or because of playability?) and changed the final 6/4 chord for a single low resonant C, as I've been told it's more effective (which I agree with).

Thanks to both of you again for your feedback :) It's really valuable to me.
