Pieces for Pianoforte No. 1, Op. 21, "Intermezzo" - Rev 2

Featured Replies

This is the 2nd revision of my intermezzo from Op. 21

Sorry for the hiatus. I have been busy lately and haven't got time to properly write anything.

It's lovely. My first impression was that it's so short, honestly. I felt like the middle section was a great and skillful departure away from the other sections but it felt like there was more to develop in each. I know it's an intermezzo but ewbebeiwbef you know what I mean, haha.
Near the end, with the right hand in octaves, my ear wanted them an octave up to make the drama of a sub. piano all the more real.
Some of these block chords would get (and kind of did get) a little bit cluttered with the low triadic structure. Stupid partials and physics and all that, but with your more big sections, clarity is key.
The effect of the rolling chords also kind of cuts out for me eventually. There's just a lot of them for me. I don't know what else to say.
It's a great piece with a nice arc to it. Nice!

I like it, nice stuff.

It,s really beautiful, melodic and very "floating". Maybe too much delay some moments.
