Pied Piper of Hamelin (orchestral work)

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am sharing this composition I did to represent this famous story. I think I will keep working over this, but so far, I like the results. First the rats are represented, disordering the town. Then, the main character appears to put order.

Hope you enjoy it.

Rgds,

Very nice! The chaos the rats produce is really dreadful, and it is a sharp break and relief when the simple melody of the piper arrives. But its dark overtones already foreshadow the scary second part of the tale. Well done!

Thanks mate :)... yes, I picked the dark end of the story... that is the direction (you read exactly my intentions!). :)

Progressions are clean, the soundscape is nice and balanced. Not my type of track but well orchestrated.

2 Notes.

1:24 The way this switch-up enters is rhythmically a bit chaotic but a second later you catch it.

The final outro doesn't sit well with me. I feel it deviates too much from where you were taking me. Might be taste, don't know.
