I want my food, therefore I'll upload here my idea for choral music piece.

I'm not sure if this one is going to have words or not, will think of that later and you can say your opinion about it.

My questions for you:

1. Is that a good idea? (melody harmony etc.)

 1.2 If not- what should I change?

2. How should I continue this piece. I mean, it's just two ideas presented one after the other and then together, it isn't a real music piece yet.

 so... what should I do with these materials?

Thanks :P

*Lets see if you notice the big difference between the pdf and the audio ;)

I would omit (or change) the first part or, generally speaking, not overuse this motif because is everything but melodic. In a background I think its would be nice, but in a vocal score...

@Luis Hernández

I'm not sure whats wrong with it. Can you give any further explanation?

I tried singing it and saw no problem with it.

The people who will do this melody will only sing it (ah/la/da etc.)

The words are here:

There's nothing wrong! I always say there's nothing wrong in music. You can write what you like.

But "I" don't like that lines very much. Perhaps, if there are no words there, it works.

@Luis Hernández

What would you put there instead?

Except for that the idea is fine?

How do you think I should develop it?

*Sorry for all the questions, it's just that I'm excited that someone finally replyed to this piece.

It all depends on your taste.

In the opening chord, if there are no words, I would try to split the alto (or use the soprano + alto) in an interval of a second C-Bb, not like a trill, but long notes at the same time.

I think it needs a mixture of high, mid, and lower tones. When I first purchased a new choir VST to use in my DAW, I never saw the standard "Ahs" the same again. There are so many different tones, pitches a choir can make.

Soprano, alto, bass, phrases etc.

What you've done here was set the foundation to what your piece can truly become. Now you just gotta change it up a little.

Personally, I would ditch the Ahs altogether and only keep a few sustains in there. Have a mixture of female and male choirs. Add in staccato, while a male or female choir do the sustains in either Ah, Oh, or Lah...and have a slightly higher pitched voice sing the melody.

Actually I abandoned this piece...

I mean, it's still in the computer, but I decided to make something more... singable (is this a real word? I meant something that is easier to sing).

Right now I don't have the money to purchase a good choir vst :(

I'm using piano instead.

*You can listen to the new piece under "choir" topic, under the name "Rain Prayer"

Your ideas are great. you could continue with a piano interlude, and then a new idea similar to the old one. I'm only suggesting. If you have another way to continue this piece, go for it.
