January 9, 20188 yr I decided to write something a few days ago, just for the sake of writing something. So, I sat down, and a couple hours later this is what resulted. It's a bit of an aimless piano piece, but it was fun to play around with the harmonies and chords. The score is a little untidy - I was more writing it for the sound of it, and to get sibeilus to play it correctly - but I might decide later to tidy it up into a more readable version.
January 9, 20188 yr (claping my hands) I enjoyed it, although the notation bothered me a bit. You said that you're not done notating it so I won't criticize it. You kept the piece interesting although it's a simple piano piece, with no fancy runs and anything like that. Why do you call it "willow"?
January 9, 20188 yr Author I don't even know why I called it 'willow'. I wrote it and then I had to think of some sort of name for it, and the word 'willow' popped into my head. That's how I name most of my pieces to be honest. Thanks! I definitely tried to keep it interesting. I love exploring different avenues within tonality.
January 24, 20188 yr This is really nice. I love the colour changes, and the harmonic progressions. Very nice work, congrats.
January 25, 20188 yr I liked this a lot. Good job with the virtual realization through Sibelius, too. (That, in itself, is a skill.) I will often take the performer's score, save a copy, then mess with the copy of the score for realization if it's something I won't have live performers play. That way when you present a score, we will see it as we would as the performer. I couldn't get the score PDF to load, but maybe it's just me.
