January 12, 20188 yr So, I really needed to make at least one metal song after two years! (Yeah, the last metal song I wrote was for 2016). Now, I feel so happy I did this song. I know it's not a good "metal" song, but I share it (and its score) to make my future works better!
January 12, 20188 yr Couple things: When working with notated music, in D minor (which this piece is in), unless you're actually using a leading A#, you have to call it Bb. There's also a lot of down time in your piece, particularly in your intro, which I think could be filled, otherwise the tension of the moment with all these power chords is lost, especially when used repeatedly.
January 21, 20188 yr I see Monarcheon's point about the 'downtime'.. I don't hear a lot in the drums.. Hear the splash (somewhat over-used, and a snare).. Some complex drumming would fill this piece out quite nicely, and will fill in for the downtime.. In fact, I think it would make it very interesting. When you have a three piece band, Each member has to be outstanding at their instrument, when to play, when to lay out, how full/sparse.. It's a constant juggling act. You let the focus of activity move around between the three players, and you've really got something. The guitar is great.. Bass strong too. Just stronger, in your face drums, with kick, toms, hat, snare. The splash is a bit overwhelming. Very nice composition..
February 5, 20188 yr Ever heard of Reverend Bizarre? Definitely think you'll like them. Doom metal band from Finland, the first half of your track reminded me of them.

So, thanks for introducing a new amazing doom metal band!
