May 11, 20187 yr I like your theme, it's super interesting rhythmically. I think that's the first time I heard someone else using 15/16, I was really proud of myself for writing something in it, but you took it much further. I'm impressed. Also I wrote it as 7/8 8/8 and you wrote it as 6/8 5/8 5/8. How did you do the X/X? I want to put in my pieces things like this one: But I had no success trying to find a way to do it in Sibelius. If you remember (I think that you were one of the people that gave me feedback for my Quintet Piece I uploaded here), I tried to do it by basically telling the player to make it "timeless". So where did you find the option to make the time signature X/X?
May 11, 20187 yr Author @Rabbival507 Hi. Time signature X/X means no time signature, as you can see. It's an option in the editor I'm using (Dorico). You can also leave it blank. In fact, this program allows you to write endlessly with no time signature at all (which is useful in contemporary styles). Whenever and wherever you want you can write a time signature and everything is adjusted automatically.
