April 29, 20187 yr A bit strange for marching band, what with all the pitched percussion, but the idea is cool. Klangfarbenmelodie before D is nice, but a little bit strange to use it as an introduction to the section. It's also extremely short, when I feel like the ideas (especially in the 6/4 section) could have been expanded to include all the instruments of the band playing in similar vain, rather than embellishments. Also a little bit anticlimactic to end so slow after the energy of the first fast section.
