Lover's Sorrow

Featured Replies

This is my interpretation of losing someone you love, whether it's a break up or death. And the feeling of overcoming reality.

It's fairly generic, but just testing my ability to convey emotions, through the same chord structure but with different textures.

Thanks for listening.

I think that the moment the staccato came in was a bit too sudden.

I think that overall you did a great job conveying it.

The darkness of the piano really sets the tone and mood of the piece. I agree that the strings should be softened and decreased in volume slightly. Also, at 1:10, the higher piano doesn't have the same dark tone of the original piano, and it is a little too jarring.

The song is effective at telling an emotional story, so I think you did great!

I liked it a lot. I found it well designed and executed. Granted, this is not Tchaikovsky, Mahler or John Williams when it comes to "emotional music", but it's obvious you're going for a darker, more intimate atmosphere. And you did a pretty good job at it.

Lovely piece, I’m not sure about the change in piano? It got much brighter. The staccato strings were a bit jarring, if you can make them softer it would fit better with emotion you’re trying to convey. All in my humble opinion 🙏

I definitely like the piano, though it seems a bit "dry" for my taste. The staccatos are indeed a bit jarring.
