The idea is nice. I actually tried to create a synth jazz after listening to part5 Bside:

But failed really hard so I gave up.

I just couldn't do it. So good job, you succeed in creating a piece that, in my opinion is difficult to create.

And yet... I think that the choice of sounds and the mixing weren't very well done.

It's a good piece... but something about the sounds or the way you mix them prevents it from being "great", at least for me.

Also, I don't know why, but it reminded me of DWTD2.
