Hey

Fantastic playing and it's a great piece!

I would say that if I have a complaint though, it's that it sounds way too homogeneous because all of the timbre is piano, and seemingly the same piano sound and since the texture, with all of your many different lines (which are also great) is near constant through the piece, I found myself kind of zoning out. I actually think that, with strictly piano here, a "less is more" approach would be great. A solo piano arrangement instead of a multi-piano arrangement.

Simply put: I'd love to hear this as an arrangement for an ensemble of instruments.

Thanks so much for listening and the feedback!! I completely agree with you, I think one of my main flaws is how I tend to stick to only piano, mainly because I never manage to get the midi sounds to sound authentic enough because I lack the technical knowledge to play around with the different parameters to make strings etc sound authentic as opposed to jarring. But hopefully with some practice it'll come!!ย

Thanks again for the feedback ๐Ÿ™‚ย

Great playing. I like the fact that it's all piano. Sure, it might sound great with an ensemble, but here you have something *special* because it's only pianos. How far can you push this style? I suggest trying to perfect this style and see where you can go with it.

Ashitaka's theme is probably my favorite theme in the Japanese media.

It didn't sound much like Joe Hisaishi for me,

but it did have some of that Japanese flavor.

Playing your composition by yourself is honorable,

and yet I think that you should have tried different piano sounds.

Usually in videos like that each square plays a different sound.

It'd make the video richer and easier to follow.
