I suppose this can't hurt.

Heya. I'm pretty new to this, but I suppose it can't hurt.

I'm Achromatism, a 16 y/o creative who currently works in the realms of visual arts, storytelling/worldbuilding, and the sonic experience, managing life to the best of my abilities.

I currently have both a Twitter and Soundcloud account, although the former is a bit new. So, if you'd like to see what I'll be up to in the coming months, check out https://twitter.com/antichromatism, and if you're interested in listening to the music I make, feel free to look through https://soundcloud.com/achromatism.

Seems like this'll be a nice experience. I'm hoping that maybe I'll have a place to belong here, perhaps I'll get to know some new creative people, so discussions are very much welcome.

I like what you got in there, and I think it's pretty awesome that you use your persona as a connecting element through different arts.

Well, I also hope you have a place to belong here, and I'm interested in listening to more of your stuff in the future. Just make sure you spend some time to take a look at other people's stuff also, so that it all goes full cycle.

thanks 😄

i'm trying to gather some more substantive things before i really get going, as i've been struggling with being confident in my skills, as well as trouble actually finishing anything, but in due time, i should end up with a lot more than this.

there's some great material to look through in this forum, from what i've seen. i'll be trying to be a bit more active and participate around here, looking forward to what kinds of things others make.

I'm not sure which I like more—the music or their titles! In my experience, those who are good with words and language tend to better composers. I'm actually quite impressed you're only 16 and already able to churn out music of such depth and character. And again, the titles are so choice!

I think you'll be able to get more specific feedback on your works if you post things individually. It's rather daunting to have someone paste a link to their entire Twitter feed and/or SoundCloud and then have to wade through all the songs there. It's also helpful if you have specific questions about the work. Nothing fancy, just something a little more pointed for your audience and peer reviewers to go off of.

Welcome to the forum! I hope you find what you're looking for here—I know I certainly have!

Definately. I try to log in every day, and not because I have THAT much to show, but because there is a lot of people here who inspire me, and it always translates into more production on my side. It has been a great ride in here, and I hope you find it to be as useful for you as it was for me.

mmh, fair point. regarding feedback, i'm a little hesitant, mostly since the troves of unreleased music i have are unfinished works, lasting only up to a minute or two, and i'd prefer to show something more substantive. i do wonder if incomplete work would still be alright to get feedback on.

but, yeah! i'm excited to see what i'll learn from being here.

It is. Theres a section for writer's block and incomplete works, in which you can ask for feedback on your stuff.

Oh, for sure! I think as you spend more time on the forum, you'll get a feel for how things are "done." There are plenty of short pieces on here (and, honestly, shorter often means I'm more apt to listen to the full thing).
