Op.10, dedicated to a Celesta

Featured Replies

These pieces are just some un-harmonized music stuff. I don't know if I must put them as a "Sonatina No.1" (I would need to make a I mov.) or as simple Preludes.

I must point I didn't want to harmonize these because they sound good to me without chords. I tried to put them, but they didn't sound well.

You are the judges now. Please, feedback these and tell me how I can harmonize them (if is there a neat way to do it) or just better them.

I like your idea with just having one instr. and melody. But i really miss some harmony, could you at least put another melody that harmonizes with the main one?

Btw the III mov. would fit perfectly as and orchestration. The melody is very nice!

You can have these movements as you, how shall i put it, "theme" bank for the orchestration, if you know what i mean.

I don't write music for orchestras. It's too tedious for me.

I'll try, then, to harmonize this, but the synthetized Celesta sound horrible. If I only had a real Celesta...

I'm trying. Be patient.

Here is the II mov. (with the left hand)

Have you thought about putting some euphoniums under the celestia instead of using the counterpoint. I'm not a big fan of the counterpoint (although I really do like it when you stop movement on the notes that you land on!). I think I would prefer some blocked chords or something like that under the celestia melody.

I have some problems with conterpoints, so this is why I made it that way. I'm a professor, so I need some guidance.

My method is: compose for your students, even if one of those students is yourself.
