Nocturne

Hello everyone, here is a new piece I wrote. It doesn't have a huge emphasis on melody or any kind of functional harmony, and it's also fairly repetitive. I like it very much, but would appreciate your feedback.

Many thanks.

it sounds pretty blocky to me, not enough change. there are certain moments where your intuition could take over and take advantage of certain situations but this doesn't seem to hit the "sweet spot" for me like it could.

Im glad you have the courage to write and put your stuff out there. Keep trying

I agree with Left Unexplained, I don't think there's enough change. Especially since the harmony just stays on the this D5 the entire time, the left hand just plays D and A over and over again

yes there is too much time for the ostinato.

Thank you for your responses, does anyone have any comments that are not about the left hand ostinato?

I think of being in a woods when I hear it, it's a nice atmosphere. The minimalism in the left hand, I wonder if it continued on to more elaborate
