August 25, 20214 yr Hauntingly beautiful, Luis! I really enjoyed the caveat at the end, the final percussive sounds of the bassoon. The diminished-scale, or half-whole scale, (I'm guessing, reading left of the barline) lead in by the flute, a beautiful highlight! Ruffage effects by the trumpets, please! Growls and glissandos, also a choice selection of mutes, including, one saxophone, I suggèst. 🙂
August 26, 20214 yr Nicely done! I have three suggestions: 1. The moving line in the viola in bars 2-3 is lovely but then it's gone. Bring it back elsewhere in the piece. Not too much, but you can use this inner texture to your advantage. 2. The octave unison in the violins and violas from bar 15 to 20 is too overpowering. Get off the long note (or let a single solo violin sustain it) and let some different textures in the winds come through. 3. Last 3 bars, let the trumpet double the timpani only on the last and first eighths of the bar.

August 27, 20214 yr Well done. Rather beautiful. A bit short perhaps. More please 😊. A bit too much unison strings.
