team work for succesful reviews

Recommended Posts

There are many aspects that deal with music composition . For example :harmony, counterpoint,Orquestration, classical rules and text(choral).

I propose that we should have a team work;mainly moderators, along with other members, to be asigned the task of reviewing one aspect of a composition. Therfore, working as a team, reviews will be, in my opinion, more organized and more effective .

Also, by allowing one reviewer to take one task at a time, he or she would have to write less and probably increase his or her knowledge in the assigned task. ( benefiting the reviewer and the composer)

Here is an example:

5 reviewers page each other expressing their concerns about a particular piece. they express that:

reviewer number

1 is concerned with harmony, counterpoint and classical rules

2; with counterpoint and text

3; with orquestration counterpoint"

4; with counterpoint and hamony"

5; with classical rules and counterpoint"

so what do we have?

harmony:2

classical rules:2

orquestration: 1

counterpoint:4

text:1

Because 'counterpoint' had more points, we will have the more skilled in counterpoint to review it, and the rest will have to divide the tasks.

what if everybody thinks only orquestration needs a review?

well orquestration has different aspects such as, intruments range, colors, textures etc)

then you divide the task accordinately.

if you would like to give me your opinion on the subject, please do so.

Thank you

I'm not a fan of this idea either, as it would result in pieces receiving fragmented reviews which are tunnel-visioned on one particular aspect of music.

And speaking of things written while drunk, it would seem that I composed the following email reminder to myself after I got back last night:

"STEVE#S birthtday9"

in any case, this is not a comunist idea and it is voluntary.

I love when people can't get the terms right.

The idea works, and is practical, but not when applied to music.
