This song from the musical "The Greatest Showman" recently caught my attention:

Oooh I have a lot.

Let me start with a very beautiful one by Michael Giacchino and orchestrator Tim Simonec

I especially like the writing of the strings during the pizzicato section, and of course the flute's melody.

Ratatouille has excellent music. It's interesting to see how Michael Giacchino had way more creative ideas in his early days

Composing my own palliative version of the main themes in one of the very last passages of the Sextet makes me think of the song.... A wonderful piece from a wonderful film from a wonderful and the only one.... Akira Kurosawa...

Since I have shared this on discord, I must also share it here to earn a reputation point:

It's funny as a satire and have me laugh as fxxk as always. Kubrick's use of Classical music is always so good!

when Henry uses the F word, it's always brings joy to my heart

So calm and serene...

So well fitted to the film Castle in the Sky, tho a bit too sweet to take it outside the film, just like the Rite without the Nijinsky ballet dance sounds weird to me.

My Neighbour Totoro is Miyazaki’s Pastoral Symphony….

This one is freakingly good!

And when I listened to this in the film with those pastoral scenes, I know immediately the English Horn is related to pastoral scenes like Berlioz!s usage in the Symphonies Fantastique!

I just finish watching the animation Flow this morning and gosh, the film is so amazing and philosophical. I enjoy the overall impressionistic and New music like style film music in the film which perfectly fits what the film wants to tell us.

The film music itself is spectacular because it's also done by this film's director. The director does almost fxxkingly everything in the film: Direct, Screenplay, Producer, Cinematography, editing, and even the music is composed by him!!

Below are some of the soundtracks I love:

This one is great with its dissonance. Wonderful color and climax.

This one is used in the climax of the film and its transcendental nature immediately reminds... my own Sextet LoL??!!

Both are great!

I watch this because @Mooravioli recommends it to me. Thx bro!

I have watched quite a lot of films these few weeks and I will share the music one by one!

First is Kiki the Delivery Service.

Probably this is my favourite. It’s the agitated version of the main theme of the film music when there’s a disaster happening in the town. I love how the danger is depicted with some sort of funniness.

Next is Porco Rossi. I have never heard of this until recently even though it’s a miyazaki film!

My favourite must be this one, with the piano version arranged as the set piece for ABRSM grade 8 piece lol:

To be honest I love this only after watching the film. I got the resigned and helpless feeling of the music only after watching the film, knowing what Porco Rosso had faced. It’s an insanely good film as well, very unexpected to what I expect in Miyazaki’s film!

In the Mood for Love is always my fxxking all time favourite film. I watched it several before but only at home’s small screen. Last week I watched the 4K restoration of director’s cut in cinema’s big screen, and fxxk! I got the music much more!

I used to feel like this music boring and only functional, but when I got to the cinema, those pizzicatios are really powerful to reflect what the main characters were thinking!

And this must be one of my all time fxxking favourite music. The music matches so well with the film itself (in the video it doesn’t correspond though), and I used to cry watching this scene, this time no exception. Also, freakingly beautiful Maggie Cheng and handsome Tony Leung!! As well as the cinematography and direction and art design and costume design!

Just finish watching Princess Mononoke, another fuxxing great film from Miyazaki. The soundtrack again by Joe Hisaishi, is again fuxxing great…

Maybe this one sounds like FF soundtrack,  idk!

Watching this Wuthering Heights adaptation for my Uni English course. Music is absolutely phenomenal.

Just finish Spirited Away last night...

Also, I always cry listening this in the credits....

Not a movie but: the ballad of jane doe

Just finish watching 'I'm Still Here':

I would say, the best music in the film are not those from the pop music tracks, but rather from the agonies and screaming from the tortured...

I have just watched Wes Anderson's The Phoenician Scheme today and I find the music really matches the film's eccentric style. The film quotes a lot of Stravinsky's Petrushka and Bach's famous Cantata BWV 147, as well as ending with the Firebird. The original music reminds a lot with Stravinsky as well, tho when the piano joins in it's more like Schonberg in a way with its tone and color, tho the rhythm and mood is still Stravinsky, or even in Riley's minimalism

"Journey to the Island" from Jurassic Park condensed score video:

I forget if I have shared this before, but I am sharing it whatsoever since Preisner music in Kieślowski's films is probably one of the best all time, esp. comparing to many bleak boring bombard film music...
