August 30, 20223 yr Created extemporaneously in about 30 minutes during the Christmas season, 2021. Yes, I have been away for a while. Here I attempted to create moments of subtle and not so subtle beauty. I succeeded. Give it 30 seconds or so to get started.

August 31, 20223 yr Author did you make it through to the end? i like it's slowly unfolding texture and journey-ish gestures. now i can sometimes listen to it without falling asleep.
August 31, 20223 yr Author 7 hours ago, Left Unexplained said: I dont find very much beauty in this more pedantic boredom tbh. it is interesting how we perceive things. most of us probably like ice cream but the appreciation of sounded tones is not always an area where agreements are common. i think the reason i like my 30 Minutes - or, to be more exact, the reason I am able to like it - is because it came from me in some sort of way, i am inside it, i know its moves and the impetus (musical thoughts, not verbal) behind them and so i 'understand' them to a certain extent and can appreciate them, even though music is never understandable. this all probably blatantly obvious and i am sure other creators react similarly to their own works. i am glad JSB did, otherwise we would have been left with only those early pieces with their over reliance upon sequential patterns.
