I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult and actually quite practical to play!" Hello, My brand new piece of music. What do you think?
December 22, 20223 yr Great high register sound and thin texture to depict the snowy weather! I love that D flat minor touch in 0:12 and later appearance. I love the moment in 1:26 with the triplets. Though it appears somewhat repetitive later on, since the sound is great I don't mind that! The ending on relative major is good as well! Which software do you use? I think a live recording will pay even more justice to your score! Henry Edited December 22, 20223 yr by Henry Ng No but after though! Basic grammar!
December 22, 20223 yr Author Thank you Henry! I used Presonus Studio One as DAW software and a Kontakt library, Cinematic Studio Piano.
December 22, 20223 yr Author Cinematic Studio Piano is a relatively cheap library, it costs only 69 dollars, here's the link below: https://cinematicstudioseries.com/piano/ And you can use it with the free Kontakt player, you should not necessarily buy the full version Kontakt. December 22, 20223 yr I am quite a parsimonious person and I'll practice my piano pieces to save spendings on the sound library, lol! Just kidding! Actually I do find your piece sound great! Of course a live recording will be even better, but your sound library chosen is amzaing as well.
December 23, 20223 yr Author Unfortunately I can't play on piano, but if I could play on piano, I would record this piece live. 😄 Can you play it? 😄
December 23, 20223 yr Actually I can play piano!! Though your piece needs a really light touch to play to create that snowy effect, and that will need a lot of practice to do so!! My playing is, conversely, heavy, as my favourite composer is Beethoven, lol. I can never play anything light well like Scarlatti's sonatas. I do post a piece here with my own recording, but it's heavy throughout.
December 23, 20223 yr Nice music. I like the contrasts, foe example when the music seems to fall like a waterfall.
December 23, 20223 yr Great job! I think you write well and idiomatically for the piano and at the same time are able to retain your particular individual style that you've shared so often here on this forum. I can hear very familiar hints of previous tracks from the soundtrack to that book you are writing. Thanks for sharing!
December 24, 20223 yr For some reason I pictured Edward Scissorhands while listening to this. lol, I love it! It has a very film type of feel to it, was that the effect you were going for? The constant arpeggios in the upper register sounded wonderful, very idiomatic to snow at night or something (or perhaps flakes of ice being shaved off from scissors 😄) Well done, lovely piece!
