I typed "young composers" into Yahoo, back around October 2001. Straightforward enough? * grins *

I think it was late 2000 or so for me...if I remember correctly, I did a search under composers forum, or something like that.

I think it was the search engine for me, too, for I knew nobody on the forum back then. I suppose I joined in the late 90's.

My Google search was "music publishing".

I was searching Google for composition competitions, I can't remember the exact phrasing though.

google. i tried "composer forums" and then "Young composers forum" in june tis year...

yahoo. 1996. "young composers."

I was doing my college research, and looking at career options for music composers on http://www.collegeboard.com, and clicked on something to the likes of "how to prepare" and got referred to here.

I found it while i was doing a search for a Nobuo Uematsu forum, lol. then i found a post where someone mentioned liking nobuo uematsu, then i looked at the title of the forum ( youngcomposers.com ) and i was like, "i'm young, and i'm a composer ( i think i am....haven't made anything good yet though ) " :)

From Yahoo, around 2001 or so. I don't remember the search phrase I used, though...

google Search engine. I typed in "Music Forums"

Google... I think I used something like "Composers Forum"... found it on like the 10th page.

Honestly, I found it by accident, while looking for free composing software, but I'm glad I found it.

Someone had the link in thier sig on another forum I go to.

Google, I think I put in 'musicians forum' came up at something like the 2nd page, possibly even the first!
