Hey everyone!

So I got myself the Wii and a copy of The Legend of Zelda, and I couldn't resist starting up a piece inspired by the music.

Here's what I have so far, it's a good start. Once I'm done remixing the theme from the trailer, I plan on evolving the piece into a medley of the different songs from in-game.

Anywho, let me know what you guys think of it so far and I'll keep posting as I write more! :whistling:

Well, brilliant orchestration and harmonization. Too short though.

Thanks, Alex!! It's actually not done yet, it's a work-in-progress - I think I mentioned that in my original post :D

Mitch, I'll send it to you personally so you can listen. :)

Thanks for the comments, guys!

Definetly could end up being my favorite piece you've done Marius, loving the harmonies near the beginning. You should contact Link and get him to do some vocals

Silly Hoontar, no voice overs in Zelda! Ever!

Great game; consequently, great piece.

wow, it's incredibly well orchestrated, plus you used the percussion really well, adds an kind of epic quality to the piece as a whole. looking forward to hearing the finished version!

I really like about 48 seconds in, very dramatic.

I started loving it at about 0:44. =/ ...

Wow great orchestration!

This reminds me of the warcraft theme...

I'm wondering what software you used to compose this piece?

I'm very glad you enjoyed it! I'll be posting an update very soon. I'm afraid John is right about the vocals; ain't gonna happen :(

Tang, all of this was done in Finale using GPO and EWQL StormDrum sample libraries. :P

can you give the finale file or something so i can hear it? ='(

Alternate Mp3 Location

M is D - yeah, well you don't have long to wait. And trust me, Zelda is worth every second - it's a brilliant game. What'd you think of the piece?

<3. I love it. It sounds really Zelda-y. Wait.. yeah. Good thing. Oo, what's that really high instrument in the last two seconds, it sounds like a trumpet. It killed me.
