Hi, My name is James Trickey - I'm 13 years old (DOB: 2nd May 1992) and I have written lots of music.

I came across this site a few minutes ago, while searching for a way to promote my music. My latest works are 2 string quartets (one I wrote on 27th Nov and one yesterday). I would like to share the first String Quartet with some people on this forum!

At the moment, I am having trouble just downloading the files from this site - they don't seem to download - can anyone help me? Also, are there any rules on what types of files to upload on here - does this forum allow WAVE files?

Hi, and welcomes all around.

No, this forum does not allow WAV files or mp3s because of bandwith issues, as I understand it. You can link to an external file hosted elsewhere. Otherwise, MUS (Finale), SIB (Sibelius), MIDI, PDF, GIF, JPEG are among the file types allowed. We tend to favour MIDIs because of their versatility, as they can be listened to or dragged into a notation program.
