  1. No, I'm just looking at it for what it is, and it wasn't empty at all and the harmonies are perfectly expectable. I was actually considering making them less obvious. The only possible problem I can see is that it might not be loopable enough.
  2. No, I really cleaned it up and it's perfect lol.
  3. I really like this thread :)
  4. new piece. bpm 100. this took me a little longer than the others. I Slept.mp3
  5. different (possibly better) samples: bpm - 135 bmp for zeldatetris2 and the other version is 120. indestructible2.mp3 zeldatetris2.mp3 zeldaomgtetris.mp3 tetris2.mp3
  6. well, I wrote this just now for an introduction screen. it's called "indestructible". i've attached two versions. one's an mp3 recording of my soundcard's interpretation of the midi, one is softsynth. Also if you have a Credits screen in the game an area where your name is displayed as well as the developers and music, one of these might work. tempo - 135 introscreen(indestructable).mp3 indestructable.mp3
  7. How did you get yours to sound so good?? omg.. those are really fast notes, what is the grouping? It's so awesome...
  8. No, i was confused by that a little too.. just means don't expect for it to definitely work out.. there's a low chance. that's all it means.
  9. What do you think? i did tetris2.mp3 just now, you may or mot not like it better. just thought it better for you to have an option. tempo - 120 tetris.mp3 tetris2.mp3
  10. A concert band work that I recently finished. I started this work over two years ago and wrote most of the thematic material then. Today I finished it adding the second half of it. Suggestions for a better title are highly appreciated! Comments welcome. Enjoy! Contest Piece for Wind Ensemble

Haha! I wish I could say I had a method but I don't. Minor key ones are a-commin'.
  13. Hey YC citizens I'm wondering...what makes a performance great to you? And what things bug you the most in performing? To me, I like when the piece is interesting and has enough changes, I like when the sound is crystal clear, and when there aren't many EE PTH mistakes in there I HATE it when there are scratchy strings...when oboes sound like dying ducks or when someone calls out in a performance, or when..well, I just don't like many mistakes in it! lol What 'bout you?

You can send any instrumentation in any style. So I guess so.

Haha thanks a lot.. it was supposed to (oddly enough) make fun of bruce springsteen (in a way by not actually sounding like him at all) lol. so the first half was the only part i actually tried for. the second half is pretty random and stupid because that's what i was trying for. But I do like the way the first half turned out and thanks for the comments :)
  16. Lol, you already did my miniature, quiet beautifully I might add. If you wanna do more, you're certainly welcome.

    8 1/2 X 11, but I don't think it matters. They're looking for quality of the score.

The deadline for ASCAP's Morton Gould Young Composers' competition is coming up on March 1st. Anyone submitting anything? Anyone had past experiences? Anyone won (other than Graham <_<)? I've submitted twice seriously, the last time my Kindersymphonie. I didn't win but the letter said I was "among the finalists" whatever that means.
