  1. I’m thinking about entering a song writing contest but I can’t decide which of these two pieces to use. I think I’ve posted both of them here in the past for critiques, but now I just want to know which one I should use as an instrumental entry. Also, the titles; “Mental Suicide” and “I Don’t Want to Think” are really only working titles because of words that popped into my head as I was humming out the melodies, they can be changed. I’d like an opinion on that as well. Any feedback would be most appreciated. -Rick
  2. ¡Buen trabajo! The central section is rich in terms of modulation. Sometimes the chords are too thick and it makes the texture a bit odd. I always miss in this kind of pieces some variation in the pattern of the left hand. Yes, I know that's typical one, but there are many variations, just one would introduce interesting changes.
  3. Honestly, this sounds like an amazing intro to a mystery TV show. I got some Gravity Falls vibes going on there for a bit, I really enjoyed this. As music for an intro or outro, this is perfect. If this is meant to be background music then I'd recommend making it longer for sure. Loved this!
  4. Hello composer friends ! A friend of mine challenged me to make a cover of Pirates of the Caribbean, but I didn't want to limit myself to the main theme "He's a pirate" haha So here is my tribute to the amazing soundtrack of Pirates of the Caribbean, in whitch I put some of my ideas. This was my biggest work so far ! Hope you will like it ! Feel free to give any feedback about the mixing or the arrangement ! 🙂 Happy new year to all !
  5. Honest feedback? Too short to respond to your questionnaire. Game music when the hero is wandering around a town or between towns. Formulaic. Nice sounds though. Were you using loops/presets? A good start but you need to expand on it.
  6. Wow, very beautiful. For me I'm with the consensus that you need more contrast in form and material. For instance, more ascending passages as opposed to the constantly descending passages, and it would have been lovely to hear the initial material develop into a strong simpler theme (the opening notes at :17 are 'I can show you the world' from A Whole New World!). Amazing quality, seriously well done, and many thanks for sharing. Mike
  7. This is really nice. I love the lyricism-your piece sounds so warm. Obviously there are improvements that could be made, but I think I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said. Excellent work.
