  1. @Aditya Hirey Hey there, please upload a score for a more detailed review. The second motive is exactly the same except for the base which becomes very repetitive around 1:33. 2:40 no... not these chords again. Look, there are some exceptional pieces that use those chords say... The Breaking of the Fellowship, But for me as a musician that's the definition of "overused". Around 3:00 it's as if he returns to the motive after traveling around although he didn't really. I think that sums it up basically, he keeps on coming back to the exact same place although we never really leave it. Too repetitive for me... Now I do have a specific note you might want to consider. Please don't take it as a racist note but judging by the name and look- this musical style is not your ethnic one by no means. By that I mean that I believe your son should be more familiar with his musical roots, for Hindi music has so much to offer. That's not to say that he should abandon completely what he's doing at the moment, but mix these two into one interesting flavor. Here's an example of a wonderful western-hindi(i think) mixture I really enjoy listening to:
  2. Great little piece! Really impressed at how well the expression comes across even despite the Sibelius soundfount quality. Kinda wish it was longer, but I guess you managed to express all you wanted to within those 30 seconds (which is pretty impressive in itself). It does have a very Halloween vibe to it – I particularly like the way the piccolo and bassoon complement each other, it really adds to that 'haunted woods' feeling. Just a note on the scoring – I think that when you have a line of single notes on a paired woodwind staff, you're always supposed to indicate who's playing (a2 if both, otherwise 1. or 2. respectively). I saw you did that for the bassoons at the beginning but not anywhere else, which leaves it ambiguous for the players. Also, I believe it's usual to specify the number of players (e.g. '2 bassoons' instead of just 'bassoons'). That's all – great work, thanks for sharing!
