  2. I've been in a pretty sunny musical mood lately (listening to a lot of Mozart) and came up with this prelude. It's a basic A-B-A with the B section being a minor mode variation from the A theme. Hope you enjoy!

This is exceptionally well done and thought through! Brilliant choice of harmony and orchestration is also good. However Last bit seems off to what's going on in the first 3 minutes, make it bigger! This piece asks to be 15 minutes long 🙂

This to me is one of the most polished pieces I've listened to on this site. Especially the first half. A bit too epsiodic for my tastes in the last 2 minutes. That said, exceptional orchestration, use of dynamics and the full range of the orchestra---something John Williams does very well (Tuba and piccolo, anyone?)--giving us a piece that is varied, expressive and coherent. I really like it. Tell me, how did you get to this level?
  5. the statement of the theme in Bach's e minor fugue, book II.
  6. I wrote these pieces a few years ago while going through a bit of a Glass/Adams minimalist phase. My goal was to create repetitions that would still have a melodic element to it.

the themes for these two, quite Bachian in some respects, are not so adventurous which is not at all a problem, great constructs can be built on simple ideas and the end results here are impressive. i would be interested to see what you could come up with if you chose themes somewhat more esoteric, as it were. perhaps a la Bach's e minor fugue book 2 with it's somewhat unexpected turns? i mean like it in spirit but not so much its exact construction.
