  1. this piece took very long to write. Never performed it and I didn't even bother playing it for a recording cause I just didn't feel like it Op10_in_B_major_20231208_190629.mid

  2. Hi! I think this is a very cute trio! My favourite part are the introduction b.45-46-47. I think that, to emphasize the melody in 21 (as it is mid register), maybe you can do a variation of the main theme with a larger register, not just a 6th, also, the flute could double the melody an octave higher (like b.24) so you break the accompaniment pattern! Overall, i liked it a lot!!!!!!😀

  3. Hello Peter Thank you for your positive assessment of my Trio. This music was written for violin, cello and piano. Alto is not there. Thanks for pointing out the abbreviations. I didn’t attach any importance to them, since the full name of the instrument is indicated at the beginning. I'll definitely fix it. I simply used the patches that the program suggested by default. Danimika is really poorly written, you are right. But I made this recording only to get acquainted with the work itself with its form, themes, and harmony. I hope this trio will be performed by live musicians in the future. Then it will be performed the way it should sound - with all the dynamic shades and touches. Thanks again! I am very glad for your assessment!

  4. Hi Alex! Very interesting music! But I find this confusing because the abbreviation for Viola is "Vla." What you have here is Vn. which seems closer to Violin which is usually abbreviated as Vl.. Also, the Vn. instrument is playing in a very high range for the Viola. You don't seem to take advantage of the low range of the Viola at all here. The Viola usually plays in the alto clef but your entire piece is written in the high range of the treble clef which makes me question why you even chose to have the Viola here instead of a Violin which would be able to play everything you've written here. (I do notice that at the beginning of the video, it says "Violino" for the higher instrument which makes me think that you actually meant "Violin"?) If it's actually Violin you're using rather than Viola, then simply calling it a "Piano Trio" is sufficient and it would be understood that you mean Violin, Cello and Piano. Also, you seem to be using the ensemble patches of the string instruments as if they're groups rather than individual instruments. Is that intentional because you didn't like the solo instrument sounds? The music sounds very dark and I like it because of its darkness. The melodies sound very foreboding to me. The dynamics though could use a bit of work imo. Right now everything sounds all kind of at the same dynamic. It would help bring more definition to the music if you brought out more important parts and let the less important parts fall into the background. It's important to build a hierarchy of importance to the sounds you're using and to use good balance. I also don't really hear any crescendi or decrescendi and the part starting at measure 193 for example would have been really great with a sudden decrescendo to a lower dynamic to really draw the listener in (that's also my favorite part I think). The ending could also have used a crescendo to really give it oomph. Nice job and thanks for sharing! Peter

  5. Well done! You really hold on to the listener; nothing boring here. Great variations and wit. I am not a pianist - so at these tempos would you need a very accomplished player? Seems a bit difficult? Mark

  6. You're right of course he's Late Classical/Early Romantic. It's just that to me Beethoven sounds more Haydn than Chopin.

  8. Hi, I enjoyed your quartet. Although, I cannot provide the wonderful technical advice you have received from the moderators; I did experience the work as comprehensive with some light thematic material that does engage you. Congrats ... Mark
