New choral work (a cappella): 'Comme Une Rose' by Anthony Sylvestre
Thank you too for listening and commenting. I'm glad you like it. I'm not used to listen to Poulenc music, but I need to fix this. You're right, the harmonies in this piece are quite simple but I think it was what I finally wanted. Yes the challenge when composing is to surprise the listener. The interest of this piece is also in the contrast between the 3 musical themes especially thanks to the middle ternary part where there's more life. Many thanks again for your feedback 😉

New choral work (a cappella): 'Comme Une Rose' by Anthony Sylvestre
It's a long time that I hadn't composed a choral work a cappella. So, last month, I've composed this SSAATTBB piece with French lyrics. It's entitled 'Comme Une Rose' and it tackles three themes: The love relationship, through the metaphor of the rose, its scent and its thorns. Nature, through the wind that blows and scatters seeds, spreading life all over our Earth. Love, through a passionate declaration to the better half. So, this piece is just looking for its premiere! Thank you Manuel for your feedback. The way you describe what you feel is very interesting. Each person feel the music in a different way, and that is fantastic! Regarding to the name Asturia, as far as I remember, when I choose that name, it had not specifically to do with the Spain region, but I found this name quite neutral and easy to remember (I think) for the people who visit the webstore.
