It's a community band. I doubt they have the money to go around buying instruments all willy-nilly just so they can be a proper band.

Anyhow, I don't know if I've already said it. But I'm going to have to withdraw from this competition because I've got other things to do.

Well, usually community bands I know play in a room or hall of a school that will let them use their equipment. So things like glockenspiels, chimes, timpani, snare, accessory, and a piano are almost always available without charge or rent. Unless of course anything is damaged during a band rehearsal. And the majority of serious percussionists have their own glockenspiels. I'm on Justin's side here. NO GLOCKENSPIEL??? THAT"S RIDIC! LOLZORZOMGWTFBBQ. But hey, we can manage without such things.

"Bells." Perhaps you've never heard it called a glockenspiel before and you DO have one.

Errrghh! I have no time to write this piece!

*works with painstakingly little time not taken up by school, homework, band rehearsals, orchestra rehearsals, more band rehearsals, lessons, practicing, and SLEEP*

Don't stress yourself so much...if you need an extension, I can extend the date a little longer.

There will be comments. Just one thing, please give me a PDF and MIDI files as well.

Hey, I can't use a midi file. It either cuts out about half the instruments or doesn't work. Can i attach a link to the mp3 of my piece for this competition instead of a midi file when I post it up with the PDF?

Sure thing.

Post PDF, MIDI/mp3, and MUS/SIB files.

Hey, I finally finished my composition for this competition. The piece is called "Fortress". A finale 2009 file and a PDF are attached. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE FINALE PLAY BACK. Both Euphonium parts play the same thing but one of them is in bass clef and the other one is in treble cleff which I transposed myself up a major ninth while finale doesn't recognize that transposition so it plays it a major ninth up. Thus the finale play back plays that wrong. Go to SoundClick artist: Stephen Sp - page with MP3 music downloads to hear the Mp3 instead of listening to the finale playback. Thank you. Enjoy!
