Mirky Feelings

Sorry I haven't been on to comment! I don't have any time nowadays but I will try to sit down and give you all the time you deserve :) ANYWAY! This is something I wrote and what-not so enjoy :) It's basically a piano improv that has strings and a little synth orchestrated around it. Hope you like it, once again, sorry for not being able to listen to your (I'm sure!) great compositions!

This is brilliant. :) My word, very moving, although is it orchestrated (written up with score), or sequenced (into somthing like logic or reason)?

Hey Kevin,

This is lovely music. Very good use of those airy synths: that was my favourite part of it actually. The piano figure is pretty and its gentle development works well for this kind of piece. I think it's fine on its own, but an expanded version could benefit from some helpful woodwinds in that second half, just to elevate it even more but without ruining the mood (since woodwinds can be very soft in texture). It's simplistic, but gorgeous either way, so excellent game music. You really love that JRPG sound. :P

Thanks for sharing :)

Hi Kevin,

I don't know about anyone else, but I had problems listening to your file. There was a great deal of static in the recording I heard, and the pitches were oddly dropping in pitch over sustained areas. If it's my machine and it just can't handle listening to the audio, that's fine. I just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem or knows why I'm having it, or if the piece is actually supposed to sound that way.

Let me know. Thanks!

Hey thanks!

@musicmacman - thanks! I'm glad you liked it :) This is a sequence. (Logic)

@Marius - THANKS - Glad you like the synths. I wana do a piece now with a Theremin! If I did do another piece like this I'll think about what you suggested!! :) BTW yeah! Love Japan hahaha

@AnitA - If it doesn't work, PM me and I'll give you an external link ^^

Kevin: The synth fits perfectly. Some woods would ( ) round out the sound some, but if you are like me, once it's posted, other than minor touches here and there, it aint gonna change much.

I had absolutely no problems with the file. It sounded great.

Ron

Another one of yours I have favorited. Great job, once again. This will once again be something I listen to over and over.

Thanks guys!!!

Just gotta agree with everyone else here. This sounds great. I love how you bring the synth in and out of focus. Really nice. I'd agree with what others have said about possibly adding some woodwinds, but I don't think it's really necessary and it all depends on what you're going for. This definitely reminds me a bit of a song from the Crono Cross soundtrack. Can't think of the title though.......

This doesn't quite feel like a JRPG sound to me: it sounds too...sophisticated. That's not necessarily a good or bad thing, it just is what it is.

Again, your compositional skills are ridiculous  The background noise of the strings (or are they synths?) make this perfect layer for your wonderful, soulful melody to play on. The piano is beautiful.

Thanks for sharing, this is great work Kevin :)

Epic piano and effects! I really liked that... ? Echo-ish sound near the beginning. That was really cool.

Not much else to say.

Cool stuff

Brilliant!!! Epic use of synths and piano. It sounds like Spirited away with that style, wonderful music IMO. Really realistic, those pianos can be really awesome. I'd love to have seen some woodwind, but then again that's a matter of opinion.

Awesome stuff, I salute you :phones:
