Hello! I'm Collin, but whateverfin is fine too.

I play flute and french horn, and this year I was first chair of the Texas 5A All-State Symphonic Band (TMEA, if any of you guys are familiar with the Texas high school music system). I just graduated from high school, and I'll be attending the University of Oklahoma in the fall.

I tend to just write for wind quartets or quintets of the same instrument, mainly because those are just the most fun to listen to (to me :D ). I like writing solos, too.

It's so fun to go through the forums and see what others have written...I love it!

Chelsea - I'm deeply sorry that Vivaldi touched you... It's quite unusual actually, though... we're used to Liszt and Bernstein doing that sort of thing. But, you can't really distinguish one from the other these days.

Hi, I'm Ben, from West Virginia. I'm currently attending college, double majoring in math and chemistry. I ran across this site a year or two ago, signed up, and somehow forgot about it. Found it again and tried to register only to find out I already had. :P

I am a classical guitarist, been playing for about 5 years (past two with classical training, learning on my own before that), and I just recently started actively trying to compose.

Hello my friends, I'm not a composer I will admit. I don't know music to save my life I can't even whistle. But I am a director and I'm working on a short film at the extremely high buget of zero dollars.

I'm going to give the feedback of someone who sees music through the eyes of a commoner and I hope that's enough for me to stay on this forum. And If not don't hit me on the head with a stick like Actors and make-up artists did.

Hey, I absolutely love the violin and anything about it. I am currently learning how to play and enjoying every minute. I grew up playing the piano but at the same time never found anything that touched me like Vivaldi.

Hi, I'm James I'm 18 from London.

I really love composition and I've been composing since I was about 13. I play piano, clarinet and occasionally sing. I love musical theatre and this inspires and guides most of the composition work I do. Most of my compositions are unfortunately only in midi format at the moment, I haven't got round to recording anything.

I have been captivated by music since I was very young. My parents had sensible musical tastes and my sister and brother's views were mostly contemporary.

I hope you can hear some of what I've written soon so you can decide if you like the ideas I'm exploring now.

I find this interesting, not because I find you interesting - right now I find you uninteresting if you have to know. What does tickle my brain a bit is the fact that this is a thread where you introduce yourself, but you are mentioning what your parents and siblings like... think again.

Hello, I'm Alwin and i like to sing. I went on Amarican Idol, but i didn't get to the first round. I sing in a Death-metal band and my friends tell me i need to work on my harmonisation. I like chocolat and trainmodels. In the winter i'm depressed, but in the summer I come to live. I go to naturist-campings in French and I recently started reading. until now i used software but i recently found a good multi intstrumentalist and a guitarist who are willing to work with me

Hey people. I'm Andi, and I've been composing for only about three months. I'm hoping to learn a lot here.

Hey guys. My name is Alex Yaden. I am 18 years old and claim my home in Columbia, KY. I have recently graduated from high school. While in high school I was an active member of our accomplished high school band, the Adair County High School Marching Band. I play French Horn, Piano, and Saxophone. There are others, but those are the ones I claim to be the most familiar with. I have been composing for almost 5 years, starting a few compositions my freshmen year of high school. Some of the composers I admire most are Thomas Newman (My favorite at the moment.) Phillip Glass, James Horner, John Williams (Honestly, who doesn't?) Richard Saucedo, Frank Tichelli, Bartok, Copland, and many others. I have recently had somewhat of a debut, when my high school band played one of my compositions (Legacy) at my graduation. Name is Alex too. I'm 22. And I'm a strange young man addicted to music composition while being completely unaware of the fact for first two thirds of my life. Having not a proper education, I learn as much as I can myself dreaming some time in the future to get the level of those whom I owe my inspiration today.

I am a 20 year old music composition student at San Diego State University. My portfolio includes many chamber ensemble works, works for choir and barbershop singers, and my first Symphony for orchestra.
