Apple Charlie
 I have upload the new avatar - it appears on the settings (where you change the avatar) yet my old avatar still appears on posts.
chopin
I'm not sure why this happens, but it is something I will have fixed.

Apple Charlie
Ditto Tokke, when? Could you at least change it with your Admin powers? :ermm: Pretty please?
chopin
I tried changing it but to no avail. The updates are happening as we speak, and the small nuisances such as the avatar's not sharing the same path will be resolved within a month or so, when the next update is applied. MichaelAlex
a month or so? that's kind of a long time in the internet world!
Tokkemon
A couple hours is a long time in internetland. A month or so? And you expect to be thought of as a professional? :/
robinjessome
A couple hours is a long time in internetland. Do you honestly believe that? Hours count in the emergency room, not on the internet. Go to bed, and reply to me in the morning...I won't be upset if you haven't replied within an hour.
Tokkemon
Do you honestly believe that? Honestly? No. But with all these instant gratification and real-time information availability services (FB, Twitter), it's nice to think that.

Problems concerning internet are considered a disaster if not fixed in a couple hours. I remembered the day facebook was down for a few hours and the world was about to end. sure we're not facebook, but i think it's safe to say that we should be advanced enough to be able to fix things in less that a few months. James H.
First - look at the resources and funds we have on hand and then look at Facebook. Second - look at who's stating our ideals in terms of Facebook now, Tokke. Third - it's a single bloody picture that you leave the same for months on end anyways. He'll get it fixed, he assured it. Now don't bite him about it before he changes his mind.
robinjessome
That's mature. Care to elaborate? What was immature about what I said? I hardly think a minor glitch affecting a single user can be considered a "disaster". (Please note my freshly changed avatar.) Also, no one said a "few months" ... as Chopin noted earlier, updates are happening "as we speak" and can be expected within a month or so. Please, a little patience would be the mature approach. It wasn't to me, but to the other people that couldn't use facebook, i think they're in therapy! ;D I did not mean to insult you, or anyone else, so if my post made it seem like it, i wasn't. I was just simply expressing my opinion that even though Charlie's problem is essentially minor, it should be able to be fixed before thirty days. James H.
Wow... I have so many conflicting avatars. I have a blank one on some pages, a bust on others, a kitty in one place, and a trumpet on the forum. And my profile says both of my pictures are the bust one. ... choppiiinnn.... SYS65
This is not about the avatar but the Headline, some member complain he can't change that "Starving Musician" ... I tried to change mine and it loos like did change in the network but within the forum the old one remains. If this requires lot of developers work, you may fix it later but you could modify the default headling and replace that "Starving Musician" with "New member" or something like that. chopin
This was a simple control panel issue in IPB. I had the setting enabled to only allow members to change their title when they had 500+ posts. I disabled this limit, so please check if you can edit your member title now.
