When a mod creates a private thread in the mod forum, it still shows up in the network in full view

Man, I wish that bug had existed back in the day. It's genius! :laugh:

The day the PMs may be seen by others, that day YC will collapse.

Some members were freaking out a while back thinking that the admins could read their PMs just because they're stored on YC's server ;)

yeah, like if YC would be a 10MB website with a few .htm .css and pictures :P

I may seriously want to upload something in a few weeks, tell me if I must do something with my browsers or just wait until that bug is fixed,

A new suggestion, if you please. Please make the default choice for "Remember me" upon login OFF. I've never been to another site that makes the default option to remember. It's easy to forget when one is out and about.

The networking buttons (notifications and friend requests) along the very top don't work when using the forum. They just lead to the homepage.

This is still an issue. It's leading me to the forum index. Also, the tooltip says "Notifcation" (sp?). Perfection, please. It's been a month.

Also, did the "list of recently uploaded compositions" page bite the dust?? I really liked that.

In addition to mentioning these at the next staff meeting (hint), I think I've discovered something which may explain the bug in people's upload links mysteriously not working.

I went to update my work description, and all of a sudden I saw two links instead of one in the upload thread:

The one on the BOTTOM didn't work.

What I guess happened is that when we switched to this new format where compositions are on the composers' profile pages rather than compositions each owning their own web page, Chopin forgot to reformat the "update" feature to work with the "profile" format. It still thinks we're using the "pg" format. So the initial upload works, but any alterations to the upload results in the website adding another, non-working link to the post.

Please correct.

More bugs.

When looking at another person's page, the "music" page isn't showing a list of the person's music.

Also, when clicking on "playlist", MY playlist shows up.

If the members music page doesn't show anything - then they have no music uploaded. I found one member (while deliberating works in RP) that had a blank music page... in turned out he deleted that work. I'm not sure on the Playlist thing, I just checked 5 members playlists and none of them had the same exact playlist. I'll continue to look at that.

No need to bump your posts, we are using the wiki to sort all the bugs, then I will have the developers work on the list.

Good to see a few bugs fixed today ;)

Bug: The "pin" shows no indication when the thread in question is pinned.

Suggestion: Open a new page signifying that such and such thread was pinned to one's wall.

Bug: Wall language of "review" versus "create" versus me posting versus others posting is incorrect.

Suggestion: Fix boolean tests to clarify language. Apparently the only input in the programming logic is which forum the thread is in: upload forums are automatically "reviews", other threads are automatically "created."

Aesthetic bug: Wall updates always include Original Posts because of Bug #2. Not necessary for updates that are simply postings in that thread.

Random suggestion: Get rid of the "watched topic" function, or somehow integrate it with the pinning system. They are essentially the same thing.

Well this isn't a technical problem as such.

Why is everyone referred to as "his"

There are many female composers on this site, It would be nice if we could choose to be called "her" or have neither gender mentioned.

There's enough sexism in music (especially composition) it doesn't need to occur on this site as well.

Yeah, we're still waiting on that one. X_x

Poll bug: the "view users who voted NO" option on Yes/No polls does not do anything. The "view users who voted YES" option, however, does work.

Here's an issue.

I was listening to one of Tideman's pieces and I refreshed, now it seems whenever I go to a member's profile, the site shows I'm logged in as "cypp2009," but only when I am viewing profiles as I'm logged in as myself on the forums.

Updating my profile.

If I list something in one of the fields e.g movies, tv shows the order reverses.

For example, if I input "A, B, C, and D." It shows as "D and C, B, A."

Ok, this is new... several of my uploads are now listed as: FILE NOT FOUND!

It appears all mp3's have been wiped clean. I will get a restore, but when was the last time mp3's were working?

It's not just my mp3s... my score files as well. They were working a few days ago! I can't believe this. Some of these works were lost when my laptop fried... and now if they are all wiped clean here on YC... this is a disaster. :sadtears:

No worries I have backups. The mp3's and pdfs will be restored shortly.

Just two quick notices here:

1. a few moments the shoutbox died and then it took a while to reboot it.

2. The site is been rather slow these days.

3. You probably notice about the uploads.
