November 30, 20169 yr Hi, exploring Messiaen's Mode 1. In fact, he used it in very few occasions, although he describe it. It's no other than the whole tone hexatonic scale (Debussy).
December 1, 20169 yr Nice! Definitely note a mode that's easy to read, at least for me. I notice there are a few places where you seem to depart from the original mode into something more diatonic (m. 20-24, 37-38). Was that a mistake or did you do that intentionally? It definitely doesn't feel out of place, and it's a cool effect so I'd love to understand it a little better. Cool work! Gustav Johnson

December 1, 20169 yr Very nice. I have a hard time getting into Messiaen's music but this definitely does have a Debussy feel to it.
