Prelude No. 10

Will be uploading an .mp3 of myself performing soon

Sorry for the poor audio (TURN THE VOLUME DOWN)

Oh, I like this, very short and bitter sweet, I'll look forward to hearing the real performance as the midi always does a great injustice to the work I think.  There's no rumbarto, no personality, no feeling, just the flat notes, but that said, you can at least tell if the piece has something or not, and I think this does.

Best regards

Mark

Not much attention was paid to the transfer notes within in one chord. m. 26 for example juxtaposes the F# and E# together for not much reason.
Confused as to why the beginning is in 3/4 when the way you have it written is clearly 6/8.
m. 22 is written weird. Interesting way to use rhythm, but use crossed staff notation.
Cheers!

@Mark101 - Thanks! I should be uploading a recording sometime this week. I can't stand listening to the MIDI butcher it.

@Monarcheon - Thanks! I lurked around a little bit on the forums and come to find out that you are definitely a busy reviewer. With that said, I greatly appreciate your attention to detail and your knowledge. I fumbled around with different sequences and patterns with M. 25-27, but I was set on the dissonant resolution. The 6/8 time signature is a good recommendation, however, the only part of the piece I want to convey as 6/8 is the B section ( M.9 - M. 16). I tried using crossed staff notation in M. 22, but this would make the left hand's notes point down.

Not sure why you can't change into 6/8 then back into 3/4 at the correct time?

Also, if you're using finale, press the forward slash button to switch the direction of the beaming.

The " / " key, right? It breaks the stem of the selected note off of the previous note.

I might just change the notation back to 3 sets of 2 8th notes rather then 2 sets of 3 8th notes.

I'm sorry! "L" does that!

Just uploaded the edited version. Thanks for the help!

Very good piece! It reminds me of early Scriabin in Brazilian sauce :D

The rhythm for me is fine, I hear 3/4 throughout.

Cool work! We want to hear the other Preludes!
