January 28, 20188 yr This is the second movement of a suite for violin duet, after The Butterfly Dance.
January 29, 20188 yr In all, it's nice. I think it talks about the delicacy of that dance... Ingeneral it follows a consonant pattern in the counterpoint parts. But sometimes it seems not. I like those pedal tone (D in bar 3-4, with ninths). Measure 12 is the most dissonant from my point of view (diminished fourths and fifths) but the tension is relieved in the next measures.
January 29, 20188 yr Author @Luis Hernández Thank you very much! Would you say that it is too consonant or just right?
January 29, 20188 yr For me it's good. I know many people will tell you about this or that. But I don't see music that way. I believe anything is possible and good, if you like it. Strict rules are from past centuries. But we are writing music today.
