There you go, that's the two bars idea I came up with.

It isn't harmonized or anything on purpose,

the idea is to have every individual composer make a one minute piece out of this idea the way he sees it.

We can mix them all together or make a piece with a few parts based on this idea.

Good luck, I'm off to compose my own version of it.

Nice, I turned it into a PC set.

It depends on where you look at. Anyway, what matters is the music, not the commas.

The reason we don't use commas for prime form is because we use commas for normal form and it gets confusing.

I like how you shifted the triplet figure around throughout the piece rather than just the pickup.

Wow! I'm impressed.

It's not one minute yet but you did it so quickly.

What are these sets?

Looks like kind of vectors to me? maybe?

That's mine.

@Rabbival507  Beautiful. It sounds like music from a fairy tale.

This is a great idea @Rabbival507, and your contribution is gorgeous!

Here is my deranged oddball contribution. Sorry about the completely rough arrangement (or lack thereof); I just thought it'd be fun to participate.

Edit: Actually, this is kind of bad! I wish I could delete the post.

Thanks for listening to my version, I'm glad you like it :)

You can make a new one and then, editing the post, you can change the files.

I like the version you posted,

it contributes to the variety of styles and atmospheres here.

btw you don't need to @ me, I follow the post.

Do I need to use that as the theme or can I play around with those 4 notes(after I state the musical fragment once)?

@Youngc

The idea is to use it as a theme (as you can hear in the versions others did before you),

but if you just want to play around with the notes is fine too.

Try and make something different from the pieces that have already been uploaded,

and contribute your part, with your point of view, with the piece you'd create with that melodic statement.

Here is my take on the theme:

It's a bit too repetitive in my opinion but other than that...

well developed!
