En la memoria (In Memoriam)

Some of my influences here: John Cage, Arvo Pärt, Peteris Vasks, Philip Glass.

A simple piece for piano and viola, in an elegiac mood, remembering someone lost just a year ago.

You see, before I clicked the play button I thought to myself: 

"well, it's seven and a half minutes long, but it came from a deep place in his mind, so I'll give it a listen"

And then, surprisingly, when the last sheet page appeared I wasn't ready at all, my thought then was:

"what? that's it? I mean, he shouldn't add anything else, but it feels like it ended too soon"

and then I thought about the fact that... whatever kind of grief you went through,

whether it was death of a family member or a friend, or a very heavy and violent breakup or something else,

your thought was probably something of this sort too. 

"It ended too soon"

Very well then, you did a wonderful job passing your feelings onwards.
