July 13, 20187 yr I wrote this piece in 2015, when I was 13 years old. To this day I am very proud of it, and consider it to be my first "mature" work. I might revise it sometime in the future, but as of now, it remains as is. The piece is a set of flowing variations on an ostinato. The piece often shifts keys, the ostinato switches between the left and right hands, and even the meter changes at times. Here is my performance of it on Youtube: I hope you all enjoy it. 🙂 Theo Edited July 13, 20187 yr by Theodore Servin

July 13, 20187 yr Very nice work, I hear quite an influence of Rachmaninov in there I think, but the work is very mature and well put together. Is this you playing? If so, I think you have a very bright future. Regards Mark
July 14, 20187 yr Author Hi @Mark101! Thank you for your comment. Yes, that is me playing the piece. It was recorded several months after composing it. Thanks for your compliments on my performance! Yes, Rachmaninoff was a major influence in this piece. I actually used some of his themes and motifs. I was in a Rachmaninoff phase back then, and I still adore his music just as much now as back then. I'm glad you noticed. Again, thank you for your comment, and I'll be sure to check out your music as well. All the best, Theo 🙂 Edited July 15, 20187 yr by Theodore Servin
